Colorado School of Elite Athletes (CSEA) is an all-girls private PK–6 school located in Louisville, Colorado. The school uniquely integrates rigorous core academics, creative exploration, and structured athletic development in gymnastics, cheerleading, and dance.

With small class sizes of 14 or fewer students, CSEA provides individualized instruction in literacy, mathematics, and critical thinking while cultivating strength, discipline, and confidence through daily athletic training. Our model is designed to nurture the whole child, academically, physically, and creatively, while preserving the joy of learning.

CSEA is currently seeking a Founding Director of Early Childhood & Academic Programs to help design and launch the school’s academic program and lead the development of its early childhood program.

Role Description
The Founding Director of Early Childhood & Academic Programs will lead the development and implementation of the school’s early childhood and foundational academic curriculum while helping establish the systems, culture, and instructional standards of the Colorado School of Elite Athletes.

This full-time, on-site leadership role will be responsible for designing curriculum, supporting hiring and training of faculty, guiding the early childhood licensing process, and helping shape the academic structure of the school during its founding phase. The role will also serve as a core classroom teacher during the school’s initial years.

The ideal candidate will combine early childhood expertise, instructional leadership, and program-building experience and must meet qualifications to serve as an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Director under Colorado licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of the school’s early childhood and foundational academic curriculum
  • Guide the school through Colorado Early Childhood Education licensing requirements
  • Serve as the school’s qualified ECE Director of record
  • Recruit, train, and mentor teaching staff
  • Establish instructional standards and assessment practices
  • Collaborate with leadership to build the school’s academic vision and culture
  • Help develop policies, procedures, and compliance documentation for licensing and accreditation
  • Support student learning through direct classroom teaching
  • Foster strong relationships with families and the community
  • Contribute to the long-term academic growth of the school as it expands

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
  • Experience teaching in preschool or elementary education
  • Coursework or experience in educational administration or program leadership
  • Ability to qualify as an ECE Director under Colorado childcare licensing requirements
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and program development skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience designing or implementing curriculum and instructional frameworks
  • Passion for innovative educational models that support the whole child
Compensation & Equity
Salary range: $90,000 – $120,000, depending on experience.
